An upper middle grade read for those fans of cryptozoology and all things that go bump in the night It explores creatures known through some literature, movies, history, and myths I loved all the illustrations and details I do wish they would have included creatures, but if they included all of them it would be a very long encyclopedic read so I understand why it is limited As a fan of creature myths, I even learned of some new ones around the globe I think I will wait for the kids to be a little older to read this Recommended age is ten and up on the back of the book Happy hauntings to all and to all a goodnight

Vampires, Werewolves and Zombies brought back many memories of tales told around campfires and late at night in bedrooms This book brought back a lot of memories The haunted house on the hill where the vampires and ghost lived The walk through the woods and hearing wolves howl at night The zombies were characterized in many of the horror movies of the late 50 s A lot of memories The best one for me was Huggy Molly She was an old woman who was suspected to be a witch She carried an old croker sack and children went missing You could hear her coming in the night as she banged her cane down to hold her up because of her wooden leg This book is an excellent read for the genre..DEHS

A fun book but the size references were terrible since they just used the same picture as the main one, no matter how they were posed in it.
